On November 2nd, Aya Productions held a press conference announcing the initiation of Miss University and Institute 2009 event at Fairuz Zaman, Starco Center. The conference also revealed the names of the 13 candidates of different universities who will be competing for the title on November 12th at Regency Palace, Adma. The event will feature Rola Saad and Ayman Zbeeb for entertainment.

Here are the names of the candidates and their affiliations: Alice Abdel Aziz: LAU, Caroline Atallah: KAFA2AT, Dana Abdallah: AUT, Diana Lahoud: AUL, Eliane Zoughaib: LCU, Angela Hobeika: AUST, Katrine Gemayel: Saint Famille University, Kristy Khoury: NDU, Maria Hrawi: AUB, Maria Tanoury: ALBA, Mirna Najem: AUL, Norah Naser: USJ and Rita Turk: UPA.
