Hosted by Events Productions, L’Hippodrome du Parc de Beyrouth hosted two private horse racing events followed by a gala dinner on September 25th part of the Beirut Race Cup 2009. It wasn’t only about horse racing, but a competition for the best decorated table and the best-looking hat also took place. The official jury included Viviane Debbas, Papou Lahoud, Siham Tueini, Salwa Al Ghunaim, Randa Missir (Le Balcon des créateurs), Sarah Baydoun (Sarah’s Bag), Elie Gharzouzi, Samer Al Amin, Fady Nahas, and Rabih Kairouz. This was an event of its kind with a red carpet arrival at 7 p.m. along with car shows and betting on your favorite horse. VIPs flocked the event to support the goal of the second edition of Beirut Race Cup which is to revive the Lebanese interest in horse racing.
