Elizabeth Sombart, the world renowned pianist, held a press conference on the 1st of June to introduce her foundation Résonnance to Lebanon along with the French Ambassador Andre Paran.  The foundation is holding three nights of festivities commemorating “Concerti for Jean Sebastian Bach” on the 3rd of July at the Conference Castle in Dbayeh, on the 4th at Niha Festivals in Bekaa and the 5th in Jean Pierre Kfarsama-Meshmesh. The shows will showcase our own Lebanese Orchestra lead by Walid Msallem.

Sombart is not only known for her talents as a classical pianist, but also for her humanitarian message; the main aim of the message is to take classical music where it isn’t usually heard. The foundation has many branches around the world.

She wants to take classical music to retirement homes, prisons, schools and old people’s homes through voluntary programs. The second aim of her foundation is to build and maintain Résonnance schools based on free-of-charge teachings and nurture an open mindset towards the world.

Take some time to enjoy something rather different at these concerts and support a good cause.
