The Rotaract Club in Lebanon held their launching ceremony for the year 2009-2010 on July 1st at La royal Hotel in Dbayeh. The theme of this year’s launch was “Tomorrow crafts today”. The club celebrated the new lead of their Lebanese district representative for district 2450, Christine Arzoumanian. The district covers Armenia, Bahrain, Cyprus, Egypt, Georgia, Jordan, UAE, Sudan, and of course Lebanon. The club also celebrated the “handing-over” event of the 17 Rotaract Clubs in Lebanon.
Many attended the classy launching event including ministers, Lebanese Army figures, ambassadors, businessmen and women, the Rotary district governor, Rotarians and Rotaractors. The event covered the many ways in which young people can help their community. From environmental programs, road safety and community initiatives for people with special needs to cultural events, the Rotaract Club is a way to be involved in your community and benefit the society you live in.
