Jeita Grotto in Lebanon is up for nomination to be one of the new Seven Wonders of the World and Lebanese have been voting continuously online, I know we are, to make the marvelous compound of crystallized cave a world renowned tourism site. Our part is to vote, but others took it upon themselves to promote Jeita Grotto.

Four students from the Lebanese Canadian University, Samar Kai, Elie Sfeir, Anthony Al Baino and Rabih Al Hajj, decided to make a promotional movie encouraging Lebanese and Arabs to make Jeita Grotto a World Wonder.
Many Lebanese artists and actors participated in the movie to make it a bigger project and a big project it became.

The director Joe Mkarzel, the poet Roudy Rahme, Elias Al Rahbany, Ola Haidar, Mohamad Ibrahim, Yousef Haddad, Rita Barsouna, Nagham Abou Shdeed, Rafik Ali Ahmad, Hiam Abou Shdeed, Carlos Azar and Peter Semaan, all participated in the project and made it happen.

On the 24th of June, a premier of the movie was launched under the patronage of the Minister of Tourism Elie Marouni, the Minister of Interior Ziab Baroud and many other Lebanese personalities ranging from the media to academics and entertainment. All gathered at Lamorella restaurant in Jeita.

The ceremony included the honoring of those who initiated the project; the four students, their professor Naji Sfeir and their organization “For Lebanon”.

We all hope Jeita Grotto gets what it deserves and every Lebanese should be doing their part which is voting online!
