Le Murex D’or, the prestigious award ceremony for the Lebanese and the Arab entertainment scene, held its 9th annual award night. Many Arab and Lebanese celebrities attended the event or accepted awards for their achievements. The event is put together by Zahy and Fadi Helou, the Lions club and the Lebanese Broadcast Channel.
It’s pretty much our Oscar night complete with gowns, beautiful females and very handsome males. Not to mention, extremely talented and artistic entertainers.
Results of the winners are a combination of 50% popular vote and the other 50% is from a jury.
The event gave out the Honorary Murex to the previous minister Layla Al Solh for her humanitarian efforts and charity work she has accumulated throughout the years. The minister of Interior Ziad Baroud was one of the recipients of the honorary award as well as Ragheb Alama for his 25 years of amazing entertainment. Other recipients included Gabi Lteff, Samira Saeed, Hyam Younis, Loublouba, Michel Tabet, Salwa Al Katreeb who had recently passed away and Basem Fghaly.
