Unique tunes, various genres at Byblos
July 23rd at Byblos International Festival witnessed a night of many music genres and styles. From classical piano tunes, elektronic folk to the latest tunes of Arabic techno, every taste had a special musical place.
Gonzales started the night with his solo pieces reminiscent of the work of Erik Satie and Keith Jarrett. Then, Sierra and Bianca of Coco Rosie took the stage to play their original sound of various instruments and noisemakers. The sound of Coco Rosie is unique for their music is a mixture of folkloric tunes with a twist of psychedelic sounds. A truly original band.
For closing, the Arabic techno pop band Y.A.S whose frontwoman is Yasmine Hamdan, former member of Soap Kills, played their latest songs and moved the crowd of Byblos.
